Boys Rules
, Rules of the United States Golf Association will apply, along with FWJGA and local course rules. In the interest of speeding the pace of play, we encourage players to hit-when-ready. Normally, the player farther away from the green will hit first. However, if a player nearer the hole has reached his ball and is ready to hit, he should do so as long as it’s not interfering with another player. On the green, the players should revert to the farthest from the hole to hit first.
, All rulings will be made by a golf professional or a tournament official, and rulings will be final.
, Minimum age is 8 years old and maximum age is 18 at time and during the tournament. A contestant cannot be in college or be playing on a collegiate golf team.
, Each contestant must be able to carry his own bag of clubs, or be able to pull a golf cart, know how to keep score, and have a general knowledge of the rules. Not all courses have pull cart rentals.
, Parents, relatives and/or friends are not allowed to assist any contestant during play. This includes, but not limited to, giving advice or walking alongside the contestant during competition. Spectators must stay at a reasonable distance from competitors and let them settle any disputes that might arise. A player cannot have a caddie or use a range finder. Failure to heed these rules could cause the contestant to be disqualified or penalized. Parents, relatives, friends are allowed to carry water, ice, etc., to share with the participants. Range finders are not allowed.
, Each contestant is responsible for reporting to the starter 20 minutes before his tee time, and knowing location of courses. Maps to courses are on the www.fwjga.net website.
, There are no greens fees or entry fees. Players are responsible for their own food and drinks and must dress appropriately. Most courses require collared shirts and bar cut-offs.
, Entry is limited to the towns on the Eligibility list. |
